Warranty

Warranty

The following warranty and service rules apply to the products and works supplied and performed by the Contractor. This section is based on the terms of the Agreement and Appendix No.1 (storage and operation instructions).

What the warranty covers

The warranty applies to the items specified in the Specification of your order:

  • interior doors and finishing;
  • hardware;
  • wall structures/panels;
  • skirting boards;
  • aluminum door constructions.

The warranty is valid subject to compliance with the storage and operation instructions (Appendix No.1) and if installation is performed by the Contractor or subcontractors engaged by them (Clause 2.3 of the Agreement).

Warranty periods

  • Door products / finishing: 12 months from the date of receipt by the Customer (Clause 2.2).
  • Aluminum door construction: period according to Specification / Agreement (Clause 2.2).
  • Hardware: period according to Specification / Agreement (Clause 2.2).
  • Wall structures: period according to Specification / Agreement (Clause 2.2).
  • Skirting boards: period according to Specification / Agreement (Clause 2.2).

The exact term for each item is specified in your Specification.

Operating conditions (excerpt from Appendix No.1)

  • Room temperature: +20…+30 °C, humidity 30–45%.
  • Store and transport in factory packaging, protect from moisture, precipitation, direct sunlight, and mechanical damage.
  • Care – only neutral products without abrasives or solvents; avoid moisture/cleaners getting into locks and hinges.
  • After bathroom/wet room use – full ventilation.
  • Do not place near heat sources; do not overload the door leaf with foreign objects.

The full instruction is provided together with the product documents (Appendix No.1).

Acceptance and warranty claims

  • Upon receipt, check quantity, completeness, compliance with specifications, and absence of external damage (Clause 5.4).
    • If issues are found – an Act of defects/shortages is drawn up together with the Contractor’s representative, with a note in the delivery note (Clause 5.5).
    • After signing the delivery note, claims for damage/shortages are not accepted, except for hidden defects (Clause 5.8).
  • Hidden defects during the warranty period: notify in writing. The Contractor’s representative will arrive to prepare a defect report within 10 working days of receiving the claim (Clause 2.4).
  • Timeframe for eliminating warranty defects – according to the defect report, usually within 30 working days; if parts need to be manufactured or returned to the factory – according to manufacturer deadlines (Clause 5.11).

Required documents for claims: Agreement, Specification/invoice, delivery note, acceptance certificate of works (if applicable), instructions (Clause “Warranty Service Rules” of Appendix No.1).

What is not considered a warranty defect (Clause 2.7)

  • Minor differences from samples in texture, paint shade, or wood grain.
  • Differences due to natural material heterogeneity or uniqueness of handmade products.
  • Shade differences with catalogs due to printing limitations.
  • Natural color changes over time (20–40 days after unpacking) for certain veneers/species.

When the warranty does not apply / becomes void (Appendix No.1)

  • Installation performed not by the Contractor/not by their subcontractors (Clause 2.3).
  • “Wet” construction works carried out after installation (plastering, screed, tiling, etc.).
  • Construction mixtures, sand, or water entering surfaces and mechanisms.
  • Thermal impact from heating/lighting devices, open flame.
  • Operation outside limits: humidity >45% or <30%, temperature <+20 °C or >+30 °C.
  • Incorrect installation, careless storage or transportation by the Customer.
  • Violation of operating rules; defects discovered after signing the acceptance certificate (except hidden defects) (Clause 5.8).

Post-warranty service

  • After the warranty expires, the Contractor performs service and repair work on a paid basis within terms agreed with the Customer (Clause 2.8).
  • Responsibility of the parties and the role of the designer
  • The Contractor ensures uninterrupted operation of the products within warranty periods, subject to compliance with operating rules (Clause 2.3).
  • In case the manufactured order does not match the technical specification, the Customer’s Designer bears responsibility (Clause 6.8, Appendix No.2). The Designer confirms and bears full responsibility for the correctness of measurements and technical data for production (Appendix No.2).

How to apply

Send a written notice (by letter or agreed messenger indicated in the Agreement) describing the problem and attaching document copies. The Contractor will arrange a representative’s visit and, if necessary, prepare a defect report (Clauses 8.1–8.2, 2.4).

Important

Signing the delivery note without remarks confirms the absence of claims regarding quantity, completeness, and visible damages (Clauses 5.5, 5.8). Please carefully check the goods and keep all documents — this will speed up warranty service.
